Title: Alternator Fanbelt does not fit.
Post by: CJHenderson on February 09, 2024, 18:44:59
I have a 10x850 fanbelt that does not fit my alternator/water pump/crank pully. I do not have AC in the car. What size should use?

850 means 50 inches long. The AC should have a separate belt. I recently replaced my fan belt and it took 54 inches. The best way to measure the length use a thread run it around the water pump pulley and the Alt pulley. The best and cheapest place to buy belts measured by inches is Home Depot on line. Good Luck.

I have neither AC or the bracket that the compressor and alternator would be attached to, I have the OEM bracket that have the alternator sitting lower.

This is what parts list is saying and what I bought:

A 004 997 95 92 V-BELT replaced with A 006 997 09 92

A 006 997 09 92 V-BELT 12,5 X 750 MM

Price is about $15 here.
