Title: Data Card (version one) Questions
Post by: Guanaja on December 26, 2023, 16:17:08
Hello,

I have an early 1964 113 that was sold to Zaire, Africa.  I've deciphered most of the data card except the portion under "wenig gewuenscht", that has four boxes.
I've researched the information in the Data Card section here, but either missed it or simply cannot find it.

In the first box is the code or number 736, in the second box is the code or number 326.  The 3rd and 4th boxes are empty save 3 dash lines in each.

If anyone is familiar with or the origin of these codes/numbers would greatly appreciated learning more!

Thanks!

736 from 01.12.1960 to 29.02.1968 FOLDING TOP FABRIC LIGHT GREY (708)

I did not find 326 in the resources I have. I mean - one that would make sense and used in the time when car was manufactured. 325 (2kg of paint) would make sense, but we have come across this code in the past, so if repeated, it probably is not a mistake.

Thank you for the reply!

I thought 736 was possibly the Light Gray convertible top color, but misplaced my notes.  326 is still a mystery.  But if 325 refers to an amount of paint, perhaps that's all this is as well.

Without looking at a copy of the actual card, it is hard to say. It is all speculation whether 326 is 325 or not.
