Title: Early Style Fuel Gauge Calming Down - A Thread from 190SL Forum

I thought I would share, seems to be an interesting idea. Please note Members remarks on reducing the capacity of the capacitor.

That's really cool.  I don't recall my fue needle bouncing, but maybe some have this issue.

I think this is about the characteristics of the early style sensor and gauge - the needle is bouncing as fuel is floating in the tank. Some find it disturbing. New sensor is dampening changes of the fuel level.

Pawel
Interesting.   I also have been following this 190 SL post and want to implement on my 1957 190 SL.  Good idea to cross post on this PAGODA site.   Based on the several responses, you have struck a "fuel gauge" nerve.
