Title: Schematics?
Post by: acbrock on December 09, 2023, 01:25:54
Every once in a while while digging into a topic someone will post Schematics... Are these all somewhere?  The ones I have found are low quality so they are hard to read.  These would save me on so many topics...
Example attached to ones I have found in posts...

These are from epc parts catalogs.  You can find decent versions on https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/

Sorry, it is VDH, and it is a German organization of www.mercedesclubs.de. They publish parts catalogs in cooperation with Mercedes Benz and revise them occasionally. They show all schematics but basically list only the parts that are still available through MB

And MB published Parts List books back in the day.  See pics in this auction example.

And also many parts suppliers have these schematics on their sites. Such as here:

All those schematics are great!  Thank you!  They will for sure come in handy!  I am scanning all of them and am at a loss on a couple pieces that fell out of the dash when everything was removed.  Below are 2 really thick washers?  I cannot figure out where they would go?  Is it what I have circled on the schematic?  They call that a grommet so I assume that is not it...?

SLS used to publish a catalogue, handy to have all of the exploded parts diagrams in one document, they don't seem to publish this anymore.  I've attached an old copy that you might find helpful

I am afraid these are not what you are indicating on the attached drawing. What you show there is a grommet  A 000 997 18 81 for the air control flap wire. Only one piece needed for a car. Please note that both in SLS-HH shops and in Niemoeller, when you go to section drawings and mark the part, you will often see the picture of the part. In Niemoeller they will give you also Mercedes PN and quantity required.

At SLS you can scroll through parts list with pictures.

I am not sure what the grommets you are showing can be if they belong to heating and ventilation. Maybe they are "legs" for something heavy, blower housing or heat exchanger.
