Title: Torquing suspension bolts advice
Post by: OregonRuby230 on November 08, 2023, 04:51:58
I have restored/refreshed both my front and rear axles and will be reinstalling onto my 66 230 W113 chassis. I cannot find torque values for any of the bolts. Is there a guide/manual/resource that has this specific detail? If not, anyone have experience in tightening down axle bolts?

What kind of paint did you use?

Looks great.

Do you have a service manual or so called BBB? You won't find every single bolt torque but the important torque values are listed.
(Sample attached but in German)

I do not have a service manual. I am still new to how best to use this group. Do we have an asset bank or do I need to troll eBay to find a copy?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated,
Kirk

They look great. What was the cost?

I don't recall exactly but it was around $500 for all the main parts front and rear. I have a Harbor Freight set up for small stuff I do in my garage with a old oven.
