Title: Radiator fan shroud.
Post by: Paul99 on November 04, 2023, 16:11:47
My UK 230SL 1966 doesn't have a fan shroud.  Is this correct? Should it have one?   It does get a bit hot (not overheat) when stationary in traffic on a very hot day so I guess it would help to fit one.

Not sure, but I though fan shrouds were only on A/C cars and mainly in the U.S. Also only on later cars.

The shroud has a stamped BEHR number and came mostly with A/C and U.S. cars.

My Italian delivered 230SL has no shroud.  I have the 4 blade plastic fan.

so as usual to buy a shroud for just about every old Mercedes is dirt cheap, but for a w113 massively expensive!   Would one from another classic Mercedes fit?
