I normally do not post cars for sale BUT, this very original example is worthy.

Certainly a very nice car, plus an early 280 4-speed. But some things don't fit properly with 41k original miles in my opinion. I'm curious to see what the experts say.

From the recent exhaust system discussion, you should be able to see several things incorrect or missing. Also the two trailing arm rubber mounts at the chassis are shot.

Considering stated mileage and overall condition of the rest of the car, the soft top appearance doesn’t seem to match.

I think they are saying "showing 41k miles", maybe not necessarily it is only 42k miles. Nice car, no doubt, but I am not sure if it is so original. I think she underwent partial restoration. Paint job - for example.

The car still has the original hose clamps at the fire wall and other areas. I noticed the slave cylinder has no return spring. This could cause wear to the internals near the clutch plate.

I thought so as well, but near the end of the 350+ photos are some maintenance records including a compilation document showing maintenance over the years representing 41k as original mileage.

Thank you. Then if it is genuine records, chances are it is true. I am not experienced enough to judge from the pictures - gas pedal looks worn, clutch pedal looks new, brake pedal is worn on the edge.... no idea.
