I'm afraid I can't help; but you've got me wondering why my First Aid Kit is Blue and yours Green?   I am assuming mine was a dealer install when first purchased in 1965. 

Green vs Blue?  ideas anyone?  Country of use?

As I understand it (my very little knowledge only comes from reading older posts on here) is that white and blue boxes were for earlier cars and the green plastic boxes were for the later cars. I have a 280sl so have read mine would have come with the green plastic box. If any one knows any different that would be great to know.

As far as I know it was stored in its holder (same as the one in the r107) in the passenger foot well, attached just in front of the door.

Hi Merc girl, I have been looking on Ebay and and saw various plastic green box ones but am holding out for a Hartmann one. There is a NOS one for sale but they are asking far to much money for me. Thanks for the suggestion though.
