Title: W113 Auxillary Fan

Hi All I have a W113 1971 280 SL US Spec with AC. Im told by my mechanic that I should have an auxillary fan that sits in front of the AC Condenser. This unit is missing and without this, restricts the flow to the main rad and in hot weather causes overheating. Where can I get this unit from? Many thanks

I suspect no Pagoda ever came with an auxiliary electric fan when delivered new, even with A/C, but many have been added over the years due to persistent cooling problems, that can likely all be traced to a variety of problems not present when the cars were new (except for the 'bypass modification' introduced by MB itself early on).

Aux electric fans on Pagodas are always owner installed to compensate for cooling problems.  Do a search for "aux fan" or "auxiliary fan" or "electric fan" and see what threads pop up.
