Title: BOOKS AND MANUALS ETC.
Post by: terry shores on July 03, 2005, 20:06:01
Does anyone know where you can purchase the entire set of paperwork that came with a 71 pagoda.  I have the original manual but know that several others sets of papers came with the car (that I don't have) I saw a whole set on ebay once, but only once!

Thanks,

A lot of the items were also found in sedans from the day. Off the top of my head, here are a few things you would find in a US-spec 280SL:

-owner's manual (dated accordingly)
-service booklet (stamped with VIN)
-dealer list (US & Int'l)
-seatbelt instructions
-Becker radio packet (usually with antenna key for manual Hirschmann)
-metal embossed owner's plate
-pink data card with original factory configuration indicated
-soft top manual
-113 parts book
-lt brown vinyl pouch

If equipped, there should be some manual for the airconditioning, Frigiking or Kuhlmeister (SP?). The service booklet, seatbelts, dealer list, and Becker radio items are not specific to the 113, and are up on e-bay from time to time. The date on the items would be what to watch for.
