Name is in the signature.
We name all of our cars.

Mine is known as “Annie” as I flew interstate to purchase it and drove it back on our Wedding Anniversary.
It was a great Homer present.

My 280SL is named “BCW”. I have been asked why BCW, my reply is I tell everyone that I am broke because I have spent all my money on Booze, and Cheap Women. BCW.

The first two cars that I owned back in the ‘60s had names provided by a girl friend at the time. “Old blue” for a well used 1954 ford and “New Blue” for the new 1965 Volvo 122S that took its place. When my 113 arrived in Alabama my mother dubbed it “that black car”, as the dark olive paint is so dark that it sometimes appears to be black. This name went away when my mother passed. Later cars were never named.
The ones that followed were/are generally referred to by the make or the color or the most frequent driver; “the Honda”, “the Toyota”, “Mothers car”, “the white one”, etc. The tree MBs currently in the Alabama garage are usually referred to by their color; “the red one”, “the green one” or “the white one” and the BMW is just the “Beemer.”
“The red one”, a 1972 280SEL 4.5 and the most recent addition to the garage was in fact named “Sadie” by the PO. I haven’t taken up the name.

My car was referred to as "The White Princess" by my wife and the name stuck.

I’ve always referred to my 230SL as “my old car”.

... and “New Blue” for the new 1965 Volvo 122S ...

My wife became jealous of all the time I've put into my pagoda during the pandemic and decided my mistress should have a name. She, and now everyone, just calls her Vanessa. Long before that, after my mom insisted it be painted yellow in about '71, my dad and I just started calling it "The Cab" which pissed off mom to no end since she drove it the most back then.

We call by Horizon Blue 250 SL - Baby Blue.

Mine is called ‘Bessy’, only as it rhymes with Benz 😱🤣

The Pagoda is called 'the Pagoda'. We also have 'the Grey Volvo' and 'the Blue Volvo', 'the Bronco', 'the Mercedes' (a non-Pagoda GLK), 'the Lancia', 'the Porsche' and 'the Alfa Romeo'. I tried calling the Lancia 'Luigi' but it did not stick.

That’s cause Pixar/Disney have made the Fiat “Luigi”
