Hello All,
I am getting frustrated trying to find a bonafide, cloisonne MBCA badge. There are a
plethora of crummy knock-offs out there, and (see photo) why would I have to buy one out of India? It only says "Mercedes Club" - and that is not good enough!
I was able to email with a Collectibles dealer who had the "real deal" once-upon-a-time but sold it. He told they are now NLA. The Classic Center knows about this issue.
Any ideas or contacts from anyone would be very appreciated.

Keep checking eBay! That’s where I sold mine a couple of years ago.

I assume you are in the MBCA and have:
- asked local section members
- used the forum
- placed a wanted ad in The Star
If not then give it a try, even if you don't think it will work.

FWIW Larry, the "original" MBCA grille badge wasn't exactly a stellar (pardon the pun there) example of the cloisonné grille badge art. I was hardly impressed with the one I had, and I tried to figure out a way to add it to the Pagoda and had no luck, though admittedly I didn't put my mind to it. I just tried to use the mounting stuff they provided and it didn't work. Our own Pagoda Group grill badge is much higher quality. Take Rodd's advice and surely you'll find one.
They all come from the Far East. Nobody can do this in the USA for anywhere close to the price and or quality.

This is what mbca currently sells

When you get the badge, goes well with our Pagoda Badge!

John, your car will over heat!! LOL! Do those have special meanings? Family crest? Provincial emblems from where you lived?

Those are crests of where "Sadie" has been in her lifetime before export to the US starting with assembly and delivery to Koln.
The remaining are Dusseldorf, Immenstaad, Salem5 and Uhldingen-Muhlofen (then to US) (Apologies- I don't know how to insert the proper umlauts in a post)
