I have participated on various user forums since the old Compuserv 14.4 days. This site and its members are by far the nicest, most informed and helpful of the lot. Just thought I would take the occasion of my 100th post to say so.

I believe it comes with the 'character' of the car we share fondness of. It attracts a certain type of person, and doesn't interest other types of people.

I can say that I have found a similar atmosphere on the international Lancia forum. Fewer surviving cars so less activity there, but very similar in terms of tone, interactions and helpfulness. Whether members are located in Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Canada, Australia, the United States or other countries.

Absolutely the BEST car forum out there. Cees is 100% correct. I, too, believe that it is a reflection of these magnificent W113 cars that we own. W113 people are so nice and so helpful. I occasionally participate in some Porsche forums. It can get downright nasty, rude and contentious. I love this forum.
