Title: Pertronix & Timing?

For all that have the Pertronix installed; what is your timing set at?  What have you found to be the "sweat spot"?

I currently have mine set at ~29 BTDC @ 3000 rpm (mb factory spec @ 3000 is 25-30).  Seems to run well. .. still have a slight muffled sputter when I let off the accelerator at the higher rpms....

Note: my magnet has the white dot, #18673

Splutter could be due to running slightly too weak, check the colour of your plugs before assuming your timing is out

Black - too rich
light brown, sand colour just right
white, glazed look - too weak
