Title: Pagoda spotted in Vero Beach, Florida
Post by: Mike Hughes on February 09, 2023, 19:33:47
Medium silver-gray metallic 280SL with black cloth top spotted northbound on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach this afternoon.  Lucy and I were driving southbound in our light blue M.G. TF.  We smiled and waved to each other as we passed.  Group member?

Wasn't me but I know the Pagoda. He definitely lurks here, everything is pretty nice on that car. Runs good Vredestein tires, nice radio, nice interior, nice antenna . . .

Understood, I had to put the top down on the TF just so Lucy could warm up!

O Riomar... I had to groom my oaks for a long time to get like that. The previous owner let Virginia creeper, air potato, and this awful pothos-type vine take over everything and kill two of them. Looking snappily now, though. Cool roadster! There are a few MG owners around here. You're a little early for Wheels Across the Pond down in Jupiter, though! You should stop by Wire Wheel while you're in the area. They have lots of interesting British stuff, especially knick knacks and memorabilia.

Yes, was introduced to Roman yesterday, who opened his garage so that I could replace the original hydraulic brake light switch, which failed while we were in Key West.  You'd think that they would have designed those things to last longer than 69 years!
