Title: Seat back grilles for 250 SL

UPDATE due to the generosity of a local memeber I havee purchased two used seatbacks with four mesh grills and both rear bumpers (without holes for overriders.  All are at the plating shop and will be ready in a couple weeks (or so they say) I will post photos of the finished  work.  In the meantime here are the bumpers photograph

I want to buy the twin seat back grills (vents) for a 1967 250 SL I am restoring.  Mine have gone missing in a previous owners botched re upholstery.

guess the metal ones way more than the plastic.

Mine (230) are metal. It’s possible that the later 280s were plastic.

Where did you see the cheaper plastic ones?

Yes, Gentlemen,

Well, I am not absolutely sure about this since this is only based on own observation and the grilles were never available separately...;
but the 230/250 SL seats should have chromed metal
and the 280 SL seats have plastic grilles.

At least this is the case with all my seats (don't have 250 seats though.... :o )
