Dear Fellow Pegodaites,
My silver Bosch battery has gone dead after 12 years of reliable service. (Think the recent cold spell in the UK did it)
Advice gratefully received on what to replace it with please. I am UK based so buying in UK.

If you're not bothered about the period/vintage look of a battery, then i've had a Varta fitted for a number of years and have never had a problem (that's a kiss of death!) car always starts, despite short journeys and the British weather
If you google the Varta site it gives you the recommended model for our cars, but mine is a Black Dynamic, C14 56AH

I use this, you can take the sticker off or do as I did and make a black plasic top with yellow caps
You need slightly longer tie rods.

Thank you all for the enlightenment on the subject of car batteries for the SL113. The battery that lasted 12 years was an S5 Bosch (should have been branded a S12 then maybe?)
I have seen the recommended Varta on Amazon for £56.25. I am in no rush as the roads are covered in salt at present, the kryptonite of the Classic car, but will purchase first week Jan.
Will not mention this newly gleamed info over the Xmas table but appreciate everyone’s input.
