I cruising sites for R171 SLK55 AMG I came across this ad for anyone looking for a W113 that is all original and a sure winner as an investment if not a driver.
The owner is a member of the MBCA Vancouver Island and I know this car and it is a winner.

I must say, that's probably the look I'm going to end up with.

I.e. Euro bumpers, no side markers, but USA headlights (Love to get euro headlights, but dayum!  $$$):
