Has anyone had any experience on how to go about removing Ziebart.
For those who are not familiar with ziebart it's a sticky wax like material that was used to rustproof cars.

You can use petrol, diesel or even parafin, but it's a bit dodgy going down this route...... loud bangs, smoke and flames!!!
The best product I have found to remove this stuff, if it's still "sticky" is a citrus based cleaner/degreaser trades under the name of "Lemsolv" here in the UK, but any good chemical supplier should be able to get you some.
Be careful with it though it can attack paint, especially cellulose, rubber, and some plastics.
Best to apply to a small area at a time.
Apply with a hand spray bottle or similar.
leave for a couple of minutes.
Wipe off dissolved "crud" and rinse the area with water, repeat as required.
Be warned it is expensive, well it is over here, however you are in Florida I guess where the stuff originates from so you should get a good deal
BTW it's wonderful for decoking cylinder heads!
