Title: E10 fuel lines
Post by: markatspace on October 31, 2022, 11:23:55
Just adverted a major disaster with a leaky fuel line in the engine bay. My flexible fuel hoses have degraded and a split was spraying fuel onto the engine.  I understand there are issues with the ethanol in the fuel. My problem could be a combo of old perished lines and ethanol? But they now need replacing. Does anyone have a solution for using a E10 compatible fuel line?

I use Esso supreme. + ,99 which is marked 5% ethanol but can actually have no ethanol in certain parts of UK, just Google. Esso synergy fuels.

E10 Comparable fiel hose is available on eBay.

Keep safe

I keep hearing about this but have not seen any  problems so far. Fuel hoses fail over time regardless of what fuel you use. The rubber impregnated cotton hoses that MB uses are not that great to begin with.
