Title: Need to identify an electrical box below the battery box

I am installing optical electric ignition.
Trying to identify what this electrical controler does?
And can I by pass it?

Yes it can be omitted if you are installing a different ignition. Just unplug it. You can use the positive lead going to it to power your new ignition system if you wish. You will need to replace the original coil most likely also.

Can I by pass that? I am installing a opticle electronic ignition. Made by Craig. Model Fast X-RAY 700.

If your are going to trash that old Bosh ignition module, I am willing to receive it. Paying for mail of course.  Shipping to Miami Florida.

I am for the classic variant. Original restored bosch distributor with contactless ignition and bosch ignition coil.
