Title: Front shocks for 230sl (early)
Post by: Merc_Girl on August 25, 2022, 19:47:15
Hi folks
Just checking with you all, are Bilstein Front Shock absorbers still considered to be the best shocks for pagodas and do the early 230sl (vertical spare) use the same shocks as latter cars

With thanks in advance, as always

Katie

Yes the same as the later cars. The Bilsteins are OEM and are my first choice.

I installed Koni classic and by love them. They are adjustable so you can adjust your car to your driving style and they are not gas based shocks which makes them easy to install. They look similar to the OEM shocks with the dust cover installed.

Food for thought.

Thanks Alex
Must admit, many years ago I put Spax adjustable shocks on my Mkiv spitfire.
Looked cool but never once did I ever adjust them 🤣🤣
