Title: Separate Tail light lens from Chrome bezel

I need to re-chrome the rear right tail light bezel/frame and need help
with where to  grind to get the glass out of the frame on my 230SL.
In TM it is written that you should grind carefully and no picture.
Can someone out there mark on a picture where to grind, it would be very helpful.

Hi Lars,
I can’t help. However there is a guy here in the Southern Cape who makes new lenses.
I could get his contact details and he might be able to reproduce the plastic bits. Once you have them you could destroy your lenses and chrome the frames and combine the new with the old.
Let me know if you are interested and I’ll get his details, price, etc
