This used trunk/boot lock is for a 280SL that uses a plastic head, double-cut key, as shown in front of the mechanism in the first photo (280SL VIN 010356 or later?).
Chrome is very good, pushbutton shows some haziness due to use.
CORRECTION: This part cannot use the older-style lock cylinder shown on the right in the first photo! (The cylinders are slightly different, and the older cylinder will not lock into the holder.)
