Would like to put mirror on right side of my 1967 - 250, be saver for me .
But, assuming I can find one, could it devalue the car in that it might not be "original"?
Thanks GSP

I recently learned the in the US the Mercedes Benz Club of America does not deduct for safety improvements. I was hesitant to add a mirror as well until this was mentioned here.

Thanks, now I have to find one.

This is a commonly available item. You need to determine if you have an early 250 or late. Mirror changes style during 250 cycle.
Available from Mercedes dealers or classic center or many vendors if you want aftermarket Available in USA or Europe
Here is one example.

You may need a plate that goes under the door skin to re-enforce it.

Hi,
as far as i know there was an option code 502 outside mirror passenger side for all Pagodas. Only early cars did not have a reinforcement plate for attachment to the doors from the factory (see picture). There were changes to the exterior mirrors from July 1967 and chassis number 2980.

If you have that re-enforcement, you do not need the plate?

I see, that I have the same problem. I bought several years ago the right mirror and I still thinking whether to mount the mirror or not? For sure it will improve few things.
Is there an instruction on how to do mount the right mirror?

The reinformcment plate was an option for all Pagodas or only for the early one?
