Dick -- Hope you're having a great trip.
Carol and I enjoyed the San Juans so much we spent a few extra days on Orcas Island.

Dick -- We did see one W113 on our drive couple of weeks ago. A rather tired looking red 280SL parked on a downtown street in Portland. I love see 'em, yet the fewer I encounter while out & about the better I feel about the whole thing.

Tom..
I assume you are back home and hard at work by now... two more days and we'll be back in Nevada City... We've had a great trip but will be good to get home.
Seeing your car in Boise was a treat... you should should publish details on the cooling system you've engineered....very impressive.

Hey Dick, glad you are having an "eventful" sightseeing trip (i.e. lots of Pagodas!). All clear & warm here on the home front. Great driving weather. I've been getting in my daily constitution (is that the right phrase?)... hope to see you and your car on the home course soon.

Jim...
Lets get Kathy and take the 3 cars on a day trip up Hyw 49 to Sierra City before it gets too hot.
After 3 weeks and 3340 miles in the Avalon, I'm ready for a ride in the roadster.
Anyone else want to take a trip up the Yuba River next week sometime?

Dick -- Yes, back in Boise and back to work. Headed to a conference in Scottsdale in another week. While there I'm going to visit Mark Passarelli (RanchoMerced)...I understand he has 2 300SLs and 3 280SLs at his shop. I gotta see this blue one (for $79K): http://ranchomerced.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page10.html
Andrew is now well underway on the interior and total trunk re-do of the the red 280SL.
You're going to take "3" cars to Sierra City?

Hey Tom. By 3 cars, Dick means, his, mine, and Kathy's (another local owner). There are about 5 or 6 Pagodas right here in our little area. We have yet to get them all together -- this could be the year!
And Dick, let's do it!

James -- That's an amazing number of W113s for such as small (and beautiful) area of the country. Congrats on both fronts!
As Dick is now aware, the distance between your neck-of-the-woods and Boise is only an over-night in lovely downtown Winnemuccua, NV. I hope my wife and I can trek on down and join you all at one of your get togethers before too long.

Sorry for hitting reply to an old posting, but I checked my calendar, and there's a high likelihood that Dick's sighting was me on my way to a meeting at the Harbour Centre tower. Thanks Dick!

After finding your web site I had assumed it was you I saw wheeling up the street dressed in your business duds.
Your Photos are terrific... hope to see more.
