Title: MB Automatic Rebuild (USA)

Looking for a recommendation for a rebuilder for a 230SL automatic transmission (a pre-ZF unit) in America.  Anyone?

Don’t know what pre-zf means but mine was done and I can recommend Sun Valley transmissions. All they do is Mercedes automatic transmissions.

PS  This is for a friend's car.  My 230SL has a 4-speed.

I don't think the MB AT at any time was a ZF unit???. The 5-speed was, but the automatic was a mercedes unit, I believe.

i second sun valley. 

they have rebuilt 2 transmissions for me.   one for the 66 and one on the 98.

i do think that marc sold the shop so they may be under new management
