I reached a big milestone today. I put in the last screw of my multi-year restoration on my 1964 230. Unfortunately it was for the driver side under dash panel and it took an hour of contortions to get it in. Kidding aside I just wanted to recognize the moment. Here are a few before and after pictures.

Congratulations, must be a great feeling. Another one ready for the next 50 years.

Congratulations. This is inspiration. I have just started assembly and have a long ways to go.

Very nice. Have fun. You just need an ivory steering wheel now.

Thank you for the kind words.
I think I will drive it as is next summer and do the steering wheel next winter.

Congratulations! It is a big job to go through on of these and bring it back. Love your color choices.

Congratulations! Since I am in the midst of the process I can especially appreciate your progress. But I actually think you have crossed the finish line rather than achieved a milestone. Well done. Lee

Looking good! Great work. Congrats.
Something tells me that the steering wheel color is original and the shift knob was changed.

The car started out white with red interior and a black top.
Someone changed it to signal red with black interior in the early to mid seventies. It looked like someone tried turn it into a 280sl. It then sat from 1983 until my first test drive in late 2020.
In the seventies they removed the vertical spare tire well along with other features. I have returned it to how it was supposed to be. Only left over changes are the steering wheel and Bunt wheels.
The Steering wheel change will be next winter and I think I will keep the wheels because I like the look.
