Title: Change the seat Color??

I'm hopfully a 280sl owner in a week or so I joined the group last week.

This should really stir up a bag of bees!

I really like a 1971 280sl that is for sale for a lot of reasons- Number one it’s a really manufactured 1971, not just a registered 1971.
But back to the topic..
It has black interior. Wife hates black seats as we live in so-ca USA--hot most of the time.
1- Ditch the wife! (Can’t cause she’d take the house and the cat, and I guess I still love her).
2- Change just the seat for Natural on Cognac
3- Sheep skins (very 70’s).
4- Stay the course and grow a pair!

BTW—The paint is silver.

Thoughts??

You can recolor with Leatherique. I've gone from blue to black with great results but they say you can go from black to white if you want.

Re coloring might be too much work and frankly a bit scary.

I'm really looking at just keeping the back seat covers (for a purist to be reinstalled when I die!).

And install new Congac (just the seats/head rest).
I'd leave the rest black.
