Title: what’s this on my air duck box ? nothing attached .

Hi all, i’m a new member from New Zealand.
i have a RHD 1966 230 sl

would anyone know what’s meant to be attached to this ? it’s on the ducting box that’s attached to the blower Motor
i had a thought that it could be a blower motor resister any help would be greatly received

The light/switch of the glove compartment is connected with these.
