Title: Mechanic in Deleware Area
Post by: wsamples on September 30, 2021, 18:52:58
Hello All,
I have an elderly customer in Milford, DE who needs someone to install shift bushings in his 230SL.
Any suggestions or recommendations?
This could be a fellow owner, shop, traveling mechanic?
I assume this could also include the surrounding areas of DC, Philly, Baltimore, etc.
Thanks,
Will

I’m in Delaware, but nearly 2 hours north of Milford.  Not a lot of MB enthusiasts down that way, but I do recall that dealership in Rehoboth / Dewey Beach always has a few MB SL on the lot, and I even sat in a $16,000 pagoda I wish I bought way back when.  If he comes up to Wilmington, I would assume I’d have time to figure out where to take it.  Ezio’s shop on Lincoln Street across from the Grotto pizza closed and sold to the owner of LabWare software who turned the shop into Goober’s Diner and uses the shop as a museum for his car collection, seemingly quite a Mopar guy.

There is a German auto repair shop at the traffic light on Rt. 10 in Camden/Wyoming (just outside of Dover), about a block from the Post Office and the elementary school.  From the cars parked alongside I would say they work mostly on Mercedes and BMW.  I have driven by this establishment every time I visit my dad, who lives near Caesar Rodney H.S., for over twenty years, but never actually stopped in.
