A quick question for the experts. It the cap for the auxiliary power connector supposed to be painted (black) or unpainted as shown?

Originally - black. By the way, this part is available new from the dealers, or was available fairly recently.

Thanks guys. I thought it should be black but wasn’t sure any more since mine doesn’t show any signs of paint.

Right next to fuse box, a bit to the center of the car, an inch or so...

So what is this actually used for? What type of plug fits into that?

It’s for a light you can plug in. (When you break down at Night)
I don’t have one yet but there are photos here on the forum.

Try to use the search function. Put in Kaco lamp, trouble light, trouble light socket or alike. Have in parenthesis.
