Title: Help needed with stuck soft top compartment cover latch

Ugh. Now I did it.
I was replacing the latch on my soft top compartment cover (passenger side, LHD) and on first install it didn't catch. So I slid the latch (what I thought was a very small amount) and refastened it and...well, you guessed it...now it won't open.
I've read the posts about the "emergency" tool for releasing the side with the lever, but nothing about emergency releasing the other side.
Any recommendations, please?
