I've misplaced my front exhaust pipes (from the manifold ) and I'm having some replacements made locally in stainless to match the rest of the system. I've got new crush rings and I'd like to show the fabricator what the ends of the pipes look like where they mate with the manifold.
Is anyone able to show me picture of what the ends should look like? Thanks Gordon

While Members might be sending pictures, perhaps looking at SLS shop will give you some clues.

Hi, Pawel, thanks for your input, ideally I'm looking for a close-up shot of the end of the pipes where they fit into the manifold

I will do that today. I can get to this easily. Mine is a 280, but I think it is the same.

hello Gordon, here's a photo I found (compliments of JA17) of the pipes where they meet the exhaust manifold.
Photo came from this unrelated topic: https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=24854.msg177895#msg177895

No idea what Mark's picture shows....
Here are the downpipes as they sit in my 280 with the head removed.

Thanks guys, just what I needed, much appreciated.

280 manifolds are cast iron and have a different downpipe lenght , as the 230 spaggetti pipes........

230 manifolds are not cast iron?

230 manifolds are not cast iron?
No, they are welded steel.

It’s the early 230’s, the later ones are cast iron as well.
