Title: Car Cover
Post by: Willis69 on May 02, 2005, 09:51:25
Hello all, I just purchased a 1971 280SL and was wondering if anyone had a car cover recommendation.  I'll probably be leaving the car outside for the summer months and indoors in a non-heated garage in the winter. Thank you.

Willis,

I've got a cover for a 230 that I sold a while back.  It in decent condition, and it's yours if you want to pay the shipping from Southern California.  Let me know:  dherrig@adelphia.net

Not to be nosey, but if you sold it then why do you have it?

Rodd,

I forgot about the cover when I sold the car.  I came across it a couple days ago when I was cleaning the garage.  I never used the cover, so it got lost in the chaos that is my garage.

;D Don't you just love language? I think this problem is called "antecedence," isn't it? I get burned by this sort of twist all the time.

I ordered a cover from Buds Benz. It is nylon and is only water resistant. I will give it a review when I receive it. It was $89.00 US

I got my car cover from Buds Benz . It is a thin nylon type that would be fine for indoor/outdoor storage as long as there is no heavy rain. I will use it when I trave as it is compact and I can put it in the trunk
