Title: 0 231 116 066 Bosch distributor ?
Post by: MarkCan on June 29, 2021, 17:00:27
I was about to purchase the Pertronix pickup to get some testing done and I was told by their support team that there isn’t one. The unit listed below, is for the previous versions of distributor and specifically 051.

I would like to know if there are differences in size or points attachment between the 2 distributors (066 and 051)

I believe they might be different. If it's an aluminum distributor then it will have a different set of points.

Mark,

A 066 distributor? Are you sure?
Not a 062, 067  or a 0231 185 009 or 010 ?
I am not aware of a 066 distributor for the 280 SL ....

Not sure if it helps but my 108 had an 066 distributor originally.

Thank you all.
I’ll leave the points alone for the time being. At this moment current setup is performing quite well. In the future (once other bugs are ironed out) I would like to be able to install the Pertronix pickup.
