Bob,

Are you typing about the feed and return lines for the heater core. My 250 parts book lists these as

Feed line - 113 997 01 81
Return line - 113 997 00 81

The listing is Table 34, Group 83
From the picture in the book they appear to be the firewall grommets for the inlet and outlet lines at the firewall.

If you are referring to the inspection plug to the core valve, it should be 113 987 24 44.

Hi Bob,

One of the 1st items I replaced on my car.  PN 113 987 24 44.  Paid $6.00 at the dealer.  It was hard to get on, need to sort of rotate it while inserting and pushing down.

Can you guys still get the 113 987 24 44 in the US.
When I tried to order them here, I was supplied 110 987 0044, which looks like a cap that would go on the end of a poster tube.
Also its the wrong diameter and would fall into the hole if not careful.

Hey Naj, the plug I got from Star Quality (old one)is like you describe. It has a lip. In my case, we were dealing with a firewall that originally had no access hole. Somewhere along the way, my mechanic decided to add one [:0] -- so I actually had to make the opening larger to have it fit. So much for originality!
