Title: Short Fuel Pump Wiring

I have my short pump out and forgot to photo it before removal.  I believe the wire posts are labeled 30 and 31.  I believe the pump can run backwards if wired improperly.  Can you tell me which post is negative and is it left or right side.  Thank you for your help.

According to the wiring diagram terminal 30 gets 12v and terminal 31 is ground.
