This 230SL was parked in Redwood City California.....there is a Mercedez Benz repair shop in that street.

This same car is even visible on Streetview in Google Maps:

The repair shop is Klaus Nagel. I am brining my car to him now for many years.
He is a old-school German car mechanic. A bit quirky perhaps, but he knows these cars like few in the Bay Area.
He updated my cooling system (e.g. drive to LA on the I5 at 90F/>30C heat without issue), installed a shorter ratio rear-axle (big change in drivability!) and many other things that make it a joy to drive.
Even the Mercedes Dealership sometimes calls him or sends him cars when they are stumped.

. . . but not in the same parking space.  It is further down the street, in the company of cousins . . .

Shorter?

What did you have in there to begin with?  A swapped-in 3.27?

I have a 4.09 I think in mine and wish it was a 3.27.

Oh... Never replied.
It's a 3.69 now. And now has rear disc brakes (the 230 was originally drums).
