Title: 1985 Gemballa Slant nose 930 Turbo
Post by: toronto_car_collector on March 19, 2021, 15:16:35
Picked up this gem a few years ago. It needed some work but nothing major. Fixed some oil leaks and a rough running issue. Had some paint/body work done to it. Redid the Borbet wheels. Also installed a Zork tube, that's a straight pipe that dumps right under the license plate. And I installed a screamer pipe on the external wastegate. This car absolutely rips. Gives such a raw driving experience. On the overrun it backfires like crazy out the exhaust, plus it throws fire out the tailpipe sometimes. Very FUN
The red viper only has 8k miles on it and a built motor by startech but that's a story for another time.

It's great to hear your description. I have a 996 GT3 and that is how I would describe the sound it makes...ripping. You have to be in one to know what i mean.

One of my favourite Gemballa creations is the Carrera GT "Mirage". They lifted the power by a few BHP, reckoned it had more than enough.

Normally they add ludicrous amounts.
