Title: cranks but will not start

1969 280Sl will crank ,no smell of gas and will not turn over,any ideas thanks

Check to see if  you can hear the electric fuel pump running. If not check the fuses. If you do not find a bad one twist the fuel pump fuse to re-new its contact, sometimes the ends corrode and loose contact.

I'm confused.
Cranks but doesn't turn over? They are the same thing. Do mean cranks but doesn't fire?
