Title: Bessy’s back!

So, with kind thanks to those of you who have expressed an interest on how Bessy is getting on.

She returned on Wednesday after a long time away, sporting her new injector pump. Whilst away I also had LED bulbs fitted, let there be light!! I can actually see when the indicators are on now! With thanks to the fab folk on the forum for all the advice provided on what was required and for widget required so indicators work!

I’ve also had the chrome strip on the soft top reinstated and she looks mighty fine! Also, no longer will my aunt have knocks on her door from strangers as I’ve left the lights on, as a warning buzzer now fitted!

Anyway, a few piccies for you

I do love that you are making her your own, and adding improvements to add to your driving enjoyment!

Mine has been in the shop forever, hoping I get to see it in the next few days!

I have to say I like your car a lot and I, certainly, love Lilly. I think the kind of mods you added to your car are great and a very good job was done on fitting them in a non-invasive way - the ashtray arrangement is just fantastic!

I think the fact that it belonged to someone popular, such as Mr. Steele, adds a flavour to it, also because there are pictures of them together - you have a nice item there.

I hope she found all her gears as well. She looks handsome with the chrome on soft top. Congrats!

Itching to get her out on the road but weather forecast is pretty grim for the next few days, so I think a little fettling of the engine bay instead 😁

It is indeed

Although engine modified, as is suspension! Can go a whole 70mph now, with wind behind and downhill 🤣🤣

Fun little thing though and brings a smile to the faces of those you pass!

Congratulations on getting Bessy back at last, she sure looks super smart now and she has a super smart refurbished garage as her new home.

Will have to meet up in the summer.
