Hi all,
I saw this on YouTube last night - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo1z4ISfRp4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo1z4ISfRp4)
-
Looks like Kent uses a 2" PVC cap shortened with a hole drilled in the center, large washer with OD slightly larger than the seal, and 1-1/2" or 1-1/4 PVC pipe slotted to expand over the crankshaft, an additional slotted metal sleeve to fit over the slotted PVC pipe and some grease.
This reminds me of my race removal tool using a 6" long piece of 2" PVC pipe slotted to expand and fit over the race. Add some hose clamps to compress the PVC over the race and twist off or use a dent puller like tool to remove the race.

I just use this. Works great.
Sorry. Couldn’t resist.

Hey Pat
That looks like one of those NLA, expensive and proprietary MB tools.
-
Might be able to find a big socket that will work too.
-
Frank,
It is. I was lucky enough to be given a bunch of tools many years ago. I passed on most to a friend but kept a few for the M130 engine.

Pat
Good for you. How did you figure out what is was for?
When I need one, I'll be going to Home Depot.

Frank, I bought a copy of an old tool manual and spent a few days digging through part numbers. I can pretty much identify the W113 tools by sight now.
Here is the whole set from L to R:
Hub puller, wear ring puller, hub installer and seal driver.
