Can I get an opinion on replacing the side windows on my 23osL On scale of 1-10, how hard is it?
If not too difficult, opinions on the "repro glass vs M-B glass

Assuming you are talking about the rear quarter lites on a hard top, and not the window in the door...
It's a bit of a challenge. Nobody says it's easy. Those who have done it a few times have developed a few tricks...so hopefully they'll weigh in here with suggestions.
I've heard stories about regular auto glass places breaking the glass repeatedly.

My mistake in how I posted: I am referring to the side door windows

Last year I renovated the winding/sliding mechanism on both windows. Because it required regluing the metal jaws that are part of this mechanism on both windows, I had to take out both of them out and put them back in. I’m not sure what would qualify for a 10, as I’ve never attempted really difficult operations, but there is nothing difficult about it, you just have to be careful not to break the glass or damage the paint on the doors, and patient when adjusting the windows to fit both hard and soft tops, which requires a lot of trial and error. Probably the trickiest part of it all is getting the clips that hold the trim and brush lips at the top of the doors off without damaging the paint. Nothing technically difficult, but a bit tense. I’d say it’s between 2 and 3, if changing a lightbulb or a fuse is a 1. But your nerves have to be well rested 😉
All the information and tips to do it are in the forum posts and Technical Manual.

I am a weekend mechanic, fairly low qualified. For calibration, a Linkage Tour for me would be 3-4.
I would have given it 7. The most difficult for me was to adjust the window back again. Fear of breaking the glass is tense.
As for the source: definitely Mercedes. It costed the same money or less when I did it (3 years ago) so it was no-brainer. It has all the signatures. Check the prices now. Also: at Mercedes you pick it from the dealer. Otherwise you pick it form courier in one piece or many. It always is trouble.
Check what you have on the car - tinted or clear by placing a clean sheet of paper behind the glass.
