Title: WTB 230-280SL (Oregon)
Post by: captainslow on December 09, 2020, 04:45:43
Hello! I thought I'd throw this out into the internet and see if anything sticks.  I am looking for a W113 four speed manual, that is not fully restored already.  A car that requires a little elbow grease is okay, but I'm not looking at becoming a welding wiz replacing floor pans or rockers. I'm hoping to come across a well maintained car that hasn't been repainted and maybe the interior is a little long in the tooth or the engine needs a little TLC.  I personally would like to drive around with all the warts and battle scars from 55 years on the open roads and not weep at the first rock chip.  I would LOVE to find a nice 230 rust free car.  Please send me a message if you are thinking about parting with one of these cars.

Thanks! Hope to eventually find an SL!

Hey,

I am currently in the market re: a 280sl as well. I'm having a hard time finding pricing for project condition SL's though. Have you had any luck elsewhere? Thanks.

On the one side of the sale area in For Sale is a nice 230sl manual.  On the other side of the sale area in the Wanted to Buy are two people wishing to buy.  and the winner is???

Me hopefully.  :)

I have a '70 280SL that we are getting ready for sale and a '67 250SL that's still a ways off yet. We also have a 64 body shell.

I’m still looking! I’ve contacted the owner with the 230 in the for sale section. Looks like a really nice car. Call me crazy but I’m really looking for a US market sl. I’d also really like to find something on the west coast. CGBenz I’ll make sure I’ll pass on anything I find, if you are looking for a project. What state of a “project” are you looking for?
