Finally found an original Kaco trouble light, had it shipped from Denmark. Now the question is where it was stored in my '65 230SL? Surely MBZ made other arrangements for it then just throwing it in the glove box!
Cheers!

I use a small velcro strap to keep it coiled, and store it in the cavity in the spare tire cover in the trunk. I have seen some cool storage boxes where it just fits in, but do not know where that might be stored.

Does it look like this? I store mine in a box obtained from Lexus.

Yep, that's just like mine. I was hoping MBZ made a little bracket or storage spot for it. Oh well.....
thanks

Not surprised that MB did not have a special holder for the trouble light. These were sold by Bosch and others as an inexpensive (about $2) accessory. Came in a small box or stapled to a card.
If MB did not give you one, you went down to the corner petrol station, or Sears Roebuck (do you remember that name?) and bought one.
They were carelessly tossed into the trunk or glovebox waiting for an emergency. Most were eventually tossed out...and that's why they sell today for a lot more than $2.

I have two new orginal bosch trouble lights sort of a toy. My father took a spot lamp and a long cord with the special plug and keep it in the spare tire rap. the bosch trouble lights are nice display peices but if you need a serious light when your off in some dark park of the road I rather have a spot lamp with candel power to get me out of a fix.
