Title: Power wires from frigeking unit ?
Post by: Fab on November 05, 2020, 13:28:37
I have two power wires not connected from frigeking unit firewall side.

Can someone show me where these 2 power wires are connected ?

Thanks in advance.

Two wires leave the Frigiking Wiring Harness, one is the power supply (+) and the other is the control (on/off) of the compressor.

I do not have pictures, but the cable to switch the compressor is going to the one cable on the compressor, maybe first going via a pressure sensor, to switch off in the case there is a gas leak.

The supply (+) is connected before fuse 2, with own fuse.

Thank you Peter.

Where is the fuse 2 ? In the main fuse box ?  :(

See pictures below.

• The supply (+) is, in my car is connected before fuse 2, with own fuse.
• It should not be necessarily fuse 2. It can be nearly any fuse as long as it has no current when car is switch off.
• You/one can also use the fuse box (if available on your car), right side engine bay which is used (one fuse) for the radio.

Where it is actually connected in your car depends on the aircon-installer.

Ok Peter, i understood, i have a the fuse box right side engine bay.

But, for the compressor, i don't see a pressure sensor. The second wire is connected directly to the compressor ?

That is possible, when they initially installed the air-conditioner system it was not common to add the pressure sensor.

I suggest to add this as it prevents to damage the compressor when there is no gas in the system.

That means the second cable is directly connected to the compressor.
