Title: Creative use for radio delete emblem
Post by: ctaylor738 on September 27, 2020, 22:27:08
I have seen several cars with nasty holes in the glove box door where some sort of plaque or medal had been installed.  Authentic Classics is now selling radio delete emblems and I used one to fix a problem glove box door.

The pegs on the emblem are not long enough to extend through the back of the door, but 3 mm holes will make a tight friction fit.  If the existing holes are much larger, then you will need to get creative about how to secure it.

Stay safe everyone,

CT

Here is my similar use of the emblem...

PS Mine was the original emblem that came on the radio delete cover. It is smaller in size than the one on the trunk.

Mine started on the radio delete plate before the PO put it on the glovebox door, but when I restored the car, I repaired the glovebox and put it on my new home made console, with the AC controls, the AC vents, the Cruise Control, the front and rear camera controls and the monitor.
