Title: Carpet repair & floor mats
Post by: rico_vancouver on March 29, 2005, 10:02:47
Hi gang,

I did a little carpet repair on the weekend (section of carpet along the rocker panel area), and used the extra carpet to replace the rubber floor mats. I think most of the early models came with rubber mats; my driver's side was a handmade replacement - I guess the original one wore out. Here are some pics with old rubber mats, new carpet, and with protective floor mats overtop.

Driver's side:

Passenger side:

I got the squareweave carpet and the fitted mats from www.worlduph.com - I think the mats were $79 and a yard of squareweave was $65.

Looks good. Now that all your hard work is done, you might also  want to preserve the new carpeting by going the cocomat route. (Like a few others in this forum, I'm partial to cocomats.com)

To add a bit to Douglas. I ordered a pair of cocomats to fit in my 250SL (over the rubber mats) and they look great. I got the black with grey dots that complement the black/gray carpet very nicely. The quality is top notch. They are quite easy to deal with, and they are doing a custom mat for the cargo space of my E320 wagon.

Hi Jonny and Doug,
I visited cocomat website but i wasn't able to see a list of their products. How do you order the mats? How much are they? and Jonny is there a number for that color you have? I need the same color I think. (black and gray)
Thanks
Mo

Click the "Color and Pattern" tab to view the product construction.  Click the "Order" tab to see the mat designs.  Request pricing for the W113 Pagoda via email.  I agree, these are the best cocomats available.
