Post by: Desertpagoda on August 15, 2020, 00:27:19
Wasnt there someone one here recently who needed an Italian Owners Manual? If so, Mr Fiat has 250 or 280 Italian owners manual reprints again. KB

Just wondering if it describes how to perform an "Italian Tune Up"? ;D

I fondly remember a TV commercial from Fiat in the 80s, when they introduced, I believe, the Punto.
It showed three scenes with captions:

- Designed by computers  - a room with engineers sitting behind CAD stations
- Assembled by robots - an assembly area with robots at work
- Driven by Italians - a Fiat Punto barreling through a "roundabout", veering off the road and rolling over.

“Italian tune-ups” are absolutely essential for Italian cars.
My Alfa’s just love them - they sing beautifully after that.

Unfortunately my license was suspended after the police saw me performing one ( speed laws are very strict where l live).

Here’s some quotes l like re: Italian cars ( mostly by Jeremy Clarkson). :)

“Rust! Invented by Germans and perfected by Italians.“

“Alfa Romeo make a car look and drive as well as car possibly could.......briefly!”

“Alfa Romeo has 6 litres of oil......and some of it is even inside the engine”

P.s - l happen to be first generation Italian.
